Luckyfish Baby quilts

Colour, Dyes, Embroidery, pattern, Sewing, Sewing machines

After working hard on pieces for my exhibition I’ve been restless and ready for something new instead of tackling the half-finished projects that lurk in my workspace, quietly nagging me …….

I spent some time with my sketch and sample books, an afternoon playing with the dye pots and finally gave in and completed this baby quilt for a friend. Now it’s done, I’m really pleased with it and ready to try other things.

I especially like the strong colour contrast of the spotty fabric on the back of this one, and love putting a tiny fish label onto the back of every quilt.
