Jo Cox Community Get-Together

Colour, Community, Friendship, Learning, Product, Recycling, Sewing, Sewing machines, South Park

Rejig ran a Morsbag sewing workshop at this year’s Community Get-Together in the South Park, as part of the Darlington annual celebration for the life of MP Jo Cox.

As well as hosting a free drop-in session with both the electric and the vintage hand sewing machines, Rejig stitchers were busy volunteering all of Sunday afternoon to help visitors to take a stylish, free shopping bag home with them.

There was also an opportunity to choose something interesting from the free book swop stall. It was a busy, fun day with plenty of live music in the bandstand, an outdoor printmaking workshop with local artist Carol Greenwood and lots of friendly games and picnics.

More information about Morsbags is available at this website.
